FAQ'S

If you can’t find what you’re looking for, please get in touch and I’ll be happy to help.

Is my home suitable?

Most homes can accommodate the space required for a massage table - my massage table is approximately 1 metre x 2 metres and requires enough working space around it for me to move without compromising my posture. A living room, kitchen or larger bedroom usually has enough space.

Of course, if your home isn’t suitable or you would prefer for me not to come to your home, arrangements can be made for you to come to my home therapy room.

How should I prepare my space?

I require a minimum space of 1.6 metres x 2.8 metres to set up my table and work around it safely.

In colder months you may like to keep a blanket handy for an extra layer of warmth.

To make the most of your treatment time, please be ready for my arrival. Plan ahead by moving furniture etc. I will bring everything required, including a massage table, massage wax, facial products (if applicable), heated blanket, towels, pillow, bolster, aromatherapy candle and music. However please do feel free to add any extra touches that you may enjoy. You may wish to play your own choice of music or you may prefer silence.

How should I prepare personally?

To ensure your comfort during your massage, I recommend choosing a quiet spot where you won’t be disturbed.

You can get unchanged (keeping your underwear on however removing your bra) and wear a bathrobe. Alternatively you can get unchanged once I arrive and am setting up.

Please have details of any medications/supplements you may be taking as these will need to be recorded on your consultation form.

How long should I allow for my appointment ?

The amount of time you book is your treatment time on the massage table. Therefore at your first appointment please allow approximately 20 minutes for your consultation and 10 minutes following your massage for dressing and aftercare advice. At further appointments please allow time for any updates to your medical history and 10 minutes following your massage for dressing and aftercare advice.

Parking and Access

I may not be able to provide services to buildings that have multiple flights of stairs, steep steps, small rooms or lack of parking.

Parking is essential. Please ensure you have somewhere close by if you don't have a private drive or parking space. This is required for safe loading and unloading of equipment. If parking charges apply these will be added to your treatment price.

Who can have massage?

Massage is generally safe and suitable for everyone.

A thorough consultation will be carried out before your initial treatment, which will highlight any contraindications that may prevent the treatment from going ahead at that time.

If you're seeking treatment for a particular ailment or injury then please do contact me and I’ll be happy to answer any questions.
